December Newsletter and Ice Racing Information

The 2019 Ice Racing season is fast approaching, and the NASCC is finalizing plans and events. There is a lot of information in this newsletter so please review to the end.

2019 Ice Racing dates:
• January 11 & January 12 – Winter Driving / Ice Race School
• January 13 – Ice Race #1
• January 26 & January 27 – Ice Race #2 & 3
• February 9 & February 10 – Ice Race #4 & 5
• February 23 & February 24 – Lac La Biche Winter Festival of Speed

The planned lake for Ice Racing this year again will be Roy’s Lake by Stony Plain except for the Lac La Biche event.
Winter Driving and Ice Race School registration is open on the MotorsportReg website. Friday, January 11th there will be a classroom session and Saturday, January 12th it will be all day on the ice with individual instruction. The School is mandatory for anyone new to Ice Racing. Please share this information with Family and Friends as we expect to sell out the school again this year, so register early!. The School also makes an excellent Christmas present for a young driver in your family.

This year we are also asking all Winter /Ice Racing School Instructors to also use MotorsportReg to signup, please do so and mark the dates in your calendar.
The NASCC Winter Driving and Ice Race School emphasizes winter driving and ice racing skills. School only entry fee is $200 with a $30 Early Bird discount if registering before December 12th

Rookie Ice Race Packages are available for racers to save $190 on season racing costs and includes a complimentary 2019 NASCC Club Membership.

The specified Bolted Tire hardware for Chevette or Limited Stud is available for purchase through the Club at a subsidized price of $1 per unit (nut, bolt and 2 washers). Contact Mark Burrough to obtain.

The NASCC also has the Club’s tire shaving machine available for use, if you need to use it please contact Mark Burrough.
