Castrol Raceway – Wet Gate Entrance Saturday is Gate 2

Wet weather means the dirt parking lot is a no go for Saturday entrance at Castrol Raceway. In the Gate entrance map that was the first entrance coming from the Highway on the main Castrol entrance road. Instead, enter by the second entrance road, as marked on the posted Gate Map. That entrance has a sign that says Spectator Parking, it is marked on the gate map as Paddock Gate, and it is the second entrance road. DO not drive out onto the gravel parking lot, line up on the roadway. We will have two workers manning the gate to keep things moving along.
If you need it, the Gate entrance map is under the Racing Menu bar, item, Forms and Downloads.

The information you need for the NASCC Eurasia Cup Road Race Series is now available on the website, including regulations, maps, hotels, schedules, entry procedures and so on. The Supplementary Regulations include very important information about Castrol Entrance fees and how to reduce them, everyone attending should read them, not just the drivers. Important information about transponder rentals is also there. Come out and join in the fun at the inaugural road race vent at Castrol Raceway!

NASCC Eurasia Cup Race Series Open for Registration

The NASCC is proud to present the inaugural race season on the new Castrol Raceway Road Course. We are pleased to announce our season race series sponsor, Eurasia Automotive, primary sponsor of the Eurasia Cup Road Race Series, 2013.
Registration is now open at the NASCC.Motorsport reg site, click here, or go to the event registration menubar tab. Sign up now for both the first two race weekends in June and July for a $60 discount. Registration for August and September race dates will open soon.

Road Race School at Castrol May 25, 26

This event is oversold, and registration has been closed. Thanks to all of you who registered, we will be contacting you within a weeks time with more information about the school.
NASCC and ARCA will be offering a competition driving school, to earn a WCMA racing license, at the new Castrol Road Racing Track by Nisku, on May 25 and 26, from 8 to 4:30 each day. Registration is now up and running. Because of the track size we can only accept 30 students to this school, so if you need your race license this season be sure to sign up quickly.

The school cost is $500 plus tax, for $525 total. There will be two days of track time with various exercises, a chance to learn the track lines, braking points, car handling, flagging, and race start procedures. You will have an instructor in the car with you most of the time, and classroom instruction when not out on track.

Your school car does not have to be a race car, it must have two seats and belts for the instructor as well as driver. Pickups and SUV’s cannot be used. You will need a race or motorcycle helmet.

Ice Race Banquet Tickets – Order Now

Our Ice Race banquet is set for 5:30 pm, Saturday, March 16, at the Woodvale Community Hall, at the Millwood’s golf course. Doors open at 5:30, refreshments until 6:30, when dinner will be served. Price is $40 per person, $20 for children under 18, paid at the door. The fee is waived for our volunteers, but everyone must register in advance.Contact nascc.events@gmail.com to register for a ticket.

Race Results 1-5 now available

Go to the Racing menu bar, pull down and click on Racing Results to find the link to download results files for Ice Races 1-5, 2013. These have been corrected three times, and approved by the Chief Steward. Individual lap times are there in zipped files for races 4 & 5.

Feb 17 Race is ON

We have a rebuilt track for Sunday, Feb 17, and we are racing Sunday at Roy’s Lake, south of Stony Plain.

Despite a setback at the end of Saturday, requiring Andy, Colin and Sean to plow us a new track, we have a track for Sunday. We are racing Sunday, Feb 17.
