Winter Driving and Ice Race School registration is open. The School is on January 12th & 13th, 2018

The registration for the NASCC Winter Driving & Ice Race School that will be held on Friday, January 12th & Saturday, January 13th, 2018 is open on the MotorsportReg website.

Friday, January 12th there will be a classroom session and Saturday, January 13th it will be all day on the ice with individual instruction probably at Roy’s Lake, near Stony Plain.

Please share this information with Family and Friends as we expect to sell out the school again this year, so register early!.

The NASCC Winter Driving and Ice Race School emphasizes winter driving and ice racing skills. School only entry fee is $200 with a $30 Early Bird discount if registering before December 14th

Rookie Ice Race Packages available for racers to save $190 on season racing costs and includes a complimentary 2017 NASCC Club Membership.

Car & Driver Requirements:
- Student must hold a valid drivers license
- Student must supply their own helmet, Snell SA 2005 or 10, or type M (motorcycle)
- Student must submit a completed tech form on site at registration
- Student must supply their own car, with at least two seats, and seat belts for the instructor equivalent to those for the student
- Minors must have both parents sign a “minor waiver” in advance and bring to registration
- Car must be properly maintained and safe
- Car must be emptied of all loose items in cabin and trunk
- Convertibles & cabriolets must have roll over protection, either factory or aftermarket installed.
- Pickup trucks will not be accepted
- SUV’s will be evaluated by model and make and it is not to be assumed that all will be accepted.
- A race car is not required to take the school

Santas Anonymous needs our help

The NASCC has a long history of assisting Santas Anonymous in Edmonton, please lend any assistance you can. CHED Santas Anonymous is devoted to bettering the lives of children in Edmonton by delivering the “spirit of Christmas” to less fortunate families. For more information see

Toy Collection Drivers:
630 CHED Santas Anonymous is looking for additional toy collection drivers to help out. Drivers go to a particular store/mall and pick the donated toys every couple of days between November 15th and December 23rd and bring them to Santas Depot – 12122 68th Street. Please call with have questions-780.428-8697 or contact if you can help out with Toy collection.

Volunteering at Santas Depot:
Santas Depot is open for individuals and groups of 2 or 3 to drop in and volunteer starting November 15 till December 14 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 9pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. Volunteers must be 16 years of age. You may stay for any amount of time you wish, there are no set shifts on drop-in days.

NASCC Annual General Meeting (AGM) – November 15th, 2017

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the NASCC is coming up soon us.

The NASCC AGM date has been set for Wednesday, November 15th at 7:30 pm, at Chateau Louis, 11727 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, in the basement of the Conference Centre. The Conference Centre is entered from the back of the Hotel, in a separate building.

Come out to support the club, discuss plans for the coming year, hear how we fared financially and organisationally, and select the executive for the coming year.

Race summary results updated as of September Race Weekend Championships race summary results have been updated to include all the 2017 race weekends at Castrol. NASCC King of the Road results have also been posted

Club Meetings resume Wednesday, September 6th – Come on out and contribute!

The summer racing season and summer vacations are coming to an end and the Northern Alberta Sports Car Club (NASCC) will resume regular Club meetings starting Wednesday, September 6th at 7:30 pm.

Club Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month, at Chateau Louis, 11727 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, in the Roseberry Room in the Conference Centre. The Conference Centre is entered from the back of the Hotel, in a separate building.

We have one last Summer Road Course event coming up on September 23rd and 24th – SUBWAY Historic Tribute & GT Races at Castrol Raceway please come out and contribute to the exciting plans we have for this event and hear about how the NASCC has fared during our other 3 summer racing events at Castrol Raceway.

For those Ice Racers now is the time to start coming out to help plan and contribute to the upcoming Ice Race Season.

The NASCC is your Club and all members have a say in the decisions, direction and running of our Club. We have had a wonderful, successful 60 years of organizing motorsports events in Alberta lets start another 60 wonderful years.
