ice race school 2026 now scheduled for Feb 20&21

Our Ice race school is now scheduled for the on track portion of the school on Saturday Feb 21, with the classroom session running on Friday eve, Feb 20 (more info below). Keep watch here and on our Facebook page for updates.

If you do have a sanctioned ice racing license from previous years please contact us before applying to race. Also, if you have a sanctioned wheel-to-wheel racing license with the WCMA, FIA, NASA or other official bodies and you believe you should be considered for ice racing, please contact us at the above email. Welcome to the Ice Racing and Winter Driving School 2026.  The school is scheduled to run on Friday evening Feb 20, and on track on a frozen lake on Feb 21.  You can register at this link nascc.motorsportreg.com/

Construction is complete on this page for 2026, but check back here for date or location changes.  Also keep in mind that weather and ice conditions dictate when and where we will hold the Ice Racing and Winter Driving School.

If you plan to apply for a Basic Race License after the school, you will need to write a short exam on flags of the WCMA.  Info will be presented in class, but you can download a written description  here

Classroom session – Friday, Feb 20th, 2026, doors open at 6 pm for check in at 6:15, discussions start at 6:30 pm sharp

Most likely to be Held at Balwin Community Hall, at 12904 74 St NW, Edmonton, but watch for announcements.

This year the classroom session will again be live and face to face. Classroom is Friday evening, Feb 20, doors at 6 pm, with check in at 6:15 pm. Then we will begin the presentations at 6:30. Please arrive before 6:15 pm at the location.

Held at – location to be announced at the Classroom session, likely at Roy’s Lake off of Hwy627, near Stony Plain.
